Your account
Delete your Givelitics account
You can request account deletion in the mobile app. A 30-day grace period gives you time to change your mind before eligible account data is removed.
Effective date:
Request deletion in the mobile app
- Sign in to the Givelitics mobile app.
- Open Profile, then choose Edit profile.
- Open Account & Privacy.
- In Account deletion, enter your current password and type DELETEas shown.
- Choose Request account deletion and confirm the final prompt.
If you want a copy of eligible account information, use the data export option in Account & Privacy before deletion completes.
What happens next
After confirmation, your account is scheduled for deletion and enters a 30-day grace period. During that period, open Account & Privacy and choose the cancellation option if you want to keep the account.
When the grace period ends, Givelitics deletes or anonymises eligible account information. This includes the Givelitics authentication account, active sessions, registered push tokens, mobile preferences and private engagement state where deletion is permitted. Once completed, this cannot be undone and a future account may need a new invitation from your organisation.
If you cannot use the app
Emailing support is a fallback request channel; it does not automatically delete your account. Support must verify your identity and organisation before it can schedule a deletion request, and will tell you when that has happened.
Email support to request account deletion, or write to support@givelitics.com. Include the account email and the name of your church or charity. Never send your password, one-time code or payment details.
Records that may be kept
Account deletion is not an absolute right to erase every record. Your church or charity may need to keep some organisation-controlled information to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. This can include:
- donation, refund, receipt, accounting and fraud-prevention records;
- Gift Aid declarations and claim evidence;
- membership or governance records required by the organisation;
- safeguarding reports, decisions and audit trails; and
- records subject to a dispute, legal hold or regulatory requirement.
Charity accounting and Gift Aid records commonly need to be retained for at least six years where applicable. Retained information will be restricted to the relevant purpose and retention period. Encrypted backup copies are removed through the normal backup cycle rather than immediately.
Organisation records and visible content
Givelitics can delete the mobile account and eligible private app state, but your church or charity controls many member, donor, directory, group, volunteering, prayer and safeguarding records. Contact the organisation if you want it to review those records. It may anonymise content rather than remove it where keeping the surrounding community or audit record is necessary and lawful.
Privacy rights and help
You may also ask to access, correct, restrict or object to processing, depending on the circumstances. See the Privacy Policy for details. For technical help or questions about a deletion request, visit Support or email support@givelitics.com.
